Clemson’s Gisele Oliveira Named ACC Women’s Track And Field Performer Of The Week

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson’s Gisele Oliveira was named the women’s ACC Outdoor Track and Field Performer of the Week as announced by the conference office. The senior from Porto Alegre, Brazil, earned this week’s honor after posting two regional qualifying marks at the Clemson Invitational on Saturday. Oliveira claimed the women’s triple jump event with a nation-leading, track-record and regional qualifying mark of 45’9″. She then placed second in the long jump, establishing her second regional standard mark of the weekend with a jump of 20’3″. That mark currently ranks second in the league.

Oliveira and the Lady Tiger track and field team return to action in their final tune-up for the ACC Championships, as they compete in the Solid Orange Classic in Clemson on Saturday, Apr. 16.
