Clemson Women’s Soccer Team Holds Youth Clinic

The Clemson women’s soccer team hosted a clinic recently for the Clemson-Anderson Soccer Association (CASA).  Girls from ages 10-16 from around the community were invited to attend the clinic and learn from the team.  The team set up many different stations and taught the participants a variety of new skills and drills to help them improve their soccer games.

Deana Sherry, a senior on the team, shared her thoughts about the experience of helping with the clinic.

“We love working with the youth in our community, as they have shown tremendous support by coming to both our games and our camps.  We understand that as aspiring soccer players, these young girls look up to us so we make a point to give back to them.  It is important that our players positively interact with these young girls so that they realize how much they can accomplish through soccer, as we were in their shoes at one point.”
