Clemson Women’s Cross Country Finishes 17th At Southeast Region Championships

GREENVILLE, NC – The Clemson women’s cross country team finished 17th at the 2004 Southeast Region Championships held Saturday at Lake Kristi in Greenville, NC. The Lady Tigers posted a team score of 431 points en route to their top-20 finish.

“I am extremely proud of the team’s performance,” said assistant coach AuDrey Branch. “All five Lady Tigers recorded personal-best times and finished the season strong. I am excited about what we have to look forward to next year, as four of the five runners who competed today will return for the 2005 season. Overall, this was one of our best individual and team performances.”

Individually, Casey Phillips led Clemson with a 53rd-place finish and time of 21:53 over the 6K course. Jennifer Barton placed 64th with a time of 22:10 and Sudati Masasu was 71st with her time of 22:17. Patrice McMillan posted a 99th-place finish and time of 22:57 and Laura Ann Rukat crossed the finish line in 24:10.
