Clemson Wins Match By Default

Madison, WI – The Tulane Green Wave forfeited its match against the Clemson Tigers on Friday morning at the 2005 USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships.

“The Tulane University women’s tennis team has withdrawn from the 2005 USTA/ITA Women’s Tennis Nationa Indoor Championship in order to deal with team issues,” Tulane Director of Athletics Rick Dickson announced Friday.

In a rematch of last year’s NCAA semifinals contest , the Tigers will face UCLA on Saturday morning in the consolation bracket. Clemson, ranked seventh at the time, fell to the #8 Bruins by a score of 4-0.
