Clemson Will Play Georgia Southern Tuesday Night

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s soccer team will play host to Georgia Southern Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Tigers’ Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson will enter match with a 1-5-1 record overall. The Tigers are coming off a 1-0 upset win over eighth-ranked Virginia at Charlottesville, VA last Saturday night.

Clemson is led in scoring by Nathan Thornton with two goals and one assist for five points. Mike Mattson, who scored the game-winner against the Cavaliers, has scored two goals this season.

Danny Hall leads Georgia Southern in scoring with three goals. The Eagles have a 0-6-1 record overall this season.

This will be the seventh meeting between Clemson and Georgia Southern in men’s soccer. The Tigers lead the overall series 4-1-1. The series started in the 1992 season.
