CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s tennis team will play host to Central Florida Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.
Clemson is 11-0 on the year, while Central Florida is 5-2 this season. The Tigers are ranked 45th nationally, while Central Florida is ranked 75th.
The Tigers won its 11th consecutive match with a 6-1 victory over UNC-Greensboro last Tuesday evening.
The 11-0 start is the third best start for a Clemson men’s tennis team in the history of Tiger tennis. The 1969 Clemson Team finished the year with a 16-0 record for the best start in school history. The 1962 team won 12 matches to start that season for the second best beginning of a season at Clemson.
The Tigers are led by Kevin Galloway as he has a 14-6 record overall and a 10-1 record in dual match play.
This will be the third meeting between Clemson and Central Florida in men’s tennis. Clemson leads the overall series 2-0.
