Clemson Will Play at #4 North Carolina Friday Night

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson men’s soccer team will play at fourth-ranked North Carolina in the final match of the regular season at Chapel Hill, NC Friday night. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.

Clemson has a 5-7-4 record overall and a 2-3-2 mark in the ACC. North Carolina has a 13-2-1 record overall and a 6-0-1 ledger in league play. The Tigers are unbeaten in their last four with two wins and two draws.

Tommy Drake leads the team in scoring with five goals and four assists for 14 points. Teammate K.C. Onyeador has five goals and two assists for 12 points. Onyeador is the current ACC Player of the Week for his goal and assist performance a week ago in Clemson’s 3-1 win over NC State.

Enzo Martinez is currently leading the Tar Heels in nearly every offensive category as he has six goals and four assists for a team-high 16 points on the year.

The Tigers are currently tied with Virginia and Duke with eight points in the ACC standings and can finish from fourth to seventh place depending on results in the conference

This will be the 54th meeting between Clemson and North Carolina on the soccer field. The Tigers lead the overall series 27-20-6.
