Clemson Volleyball To Play South Carolina Friday

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson volleyball team will play South Carolina in a spring exhibition match at Jervey Gym at 7:00 pm on Friday night. Admission is free to the public.

Clemson has defeated Wofford, 3-0, and UNC Asheville, 3-0, in earlier spring competition.

Spring matches in volleyball do not include seniors from the 2012 season or freshmen for the 2013 season, although a pair of newcomers have joined Clemson in January.

During the 2012 regular season, South Carolina beat Clemson, 3-0, in Columbia to improve to 23-34 against Clemson all-time. The spring match does not count toward either team’s overall record.

After Friday, Clemson will play host to Georgia State and USC Upstate in a round-robin tournament on April 13 in Jervey Gym. Clemson will play GSU at 10:00 am and Upstate at 2:00 pm.
