Nov. 2, 1999

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team is ranked 14th nationally for the third week in a row according to the AVCA Division I Coaches Poll released this week. The Tigers received 701 points in the poll. Last week Clemson defeated Virginia and Maryland at home.

“We’ve got two very important ACC matches this week, with Georgia Tech and home and travelling to Florida State,” said Clemson head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover, now in her seventh season with the Tigers. “We’re looking forward to closing out the regular season playing well. Since it is November, we need to be playing well as we look toward the postseason.”

Clemson (23-1, 11-1 ACC) will play host to Georgia Tech Tuesday at 7 p.m. The first 500 fans will receive a free t-shirt. This weekend the Tigers will travel to Tallahassee to play at Florida State Friday at 7 p.m. and at Florida A&M Saturday at 1 p.m.
