Clemson Volleyball Closes Spring Schedule at South Carolina Wednesday

April 10, 2012

The Clemson volleyball team will close spring exhibition play with a match at South Carolina’s Volleyball Competition Facility in Columbia, SC on Wednesday at 6:00 pm. It will mark the final exhibition of the spring for the Tigers, who have won their previous two spring matches.

Clemson defeated Georgia on April 4 in Jervey Gym by a 3-2 count, and beat Furman in Greenville, SC, 3-1 on March 28. The team will then participate in the Goodwill Mud Run in Greenville, SC on April 15 as a team-building activity to close down spring practice.

The Tigers are 22-34 all-time against the Gamecocks in regular season play, including a 3-0 win in the 2011 season in Charleston, SC.

Clemson went 20-11 last season with a 12-8 mark in the ACC. They return all but one letterwinner. Of the five returning starters and libero, there are three All-ACC rising seniors in Alexa Rand, Sandra Adeleye, and Serenat Yaz.
