Clemson Tiger Mascot to be Featured in ESPN.com’s New TV Spot

July 2, 2009

Two new TV spots for ESPN.com’s year-long brand campaign featuring TV, print and online elements will premiere Friday, July 3, on the ESPN networks. The Clemson Tiger mascot will be featured in the website’s new TV spot “Wild.”

• Lunch (:30) – stars Mia Hamm, the Swiss bobsled team, O.J. Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies and Samari Rolle of the Baltimore Ravens engaging in warm-up activities.

• Wild (:15) – highlights the performance skills of Penn State’s Nittany Lion, the Clemson Tiger and the Baylor Bear.

Created by ESPN and Wieden + Kennedy New York, the campaign seeks to illustrate ESPN.com’s breadth and depth at serving sports fans by giving them instant access to the sports they love and the control to consume it as they desire. The spots will highlight the many kinds of sports journeys a user can create with the limitless flow of information ESPN.com provides. Each TV spot will close with an invitation to fans to “Follow Your Sports.”
