CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will travel to Athens, GA on Friday evening to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. The meet, which is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., will be held at Gabrielsen Natatorium.
The Tiger men’s team has a 3-1 record in dual meets and is 1-0 against ACC competition. Last weekend, Clemson fell to South Carolina by a score of 152-91 in Columbia. Against the Gamecocks, the Tigers were led by Ryan Cassella, who won the 200 breast, finished third in the 200 IM and helped the 400 medley relay team to a first-place finish in the event.
The Clemson women’s team lost to the 25th-ranked Gamecocks by a score of 149-94 last weekend to bring their overall record to 2-3. Lindsey Kroeger led the Tigers with a first-place finish in the 200 IM and a third-place finish in the 100 free. She also helped the 400 medley relay team to a victory, posting a 56.43 split time in the backstroke leg of the event.
The 12th-ranked Bulldog men’s team is 3-0 overall, most recently defeating Georgia Tech by a score of 155-126. The Georgia women’s team is 3-0 in dual meets this season and is currently ranked second in the CSCAA poll.
