Clemson Swimming and Diving Completes Day One at the ACC Chapmionships

The Clemson women’s swimming and diving team finished Day One in 4th place with 52 points at the 2005 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship held at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

Clemson opened the meet finishing seventh in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:27.93, which set a new season-best time. Kim Routh swam the opening leg of the relay in 1:50.38, Clemson’s second fastest time of the year.

The Lady Tigers then earned a fifth-place finish in the 200 medley relay, finishing with a time of 1:45.44, Clemson’s second-fastest time of the season.

Maryland leads the overall competition with 80 points after winning both relays. Virginia is in second place, followed by North Carolina and Clemson. Competition resumes Thursday on Thursday with preliminaries and finals in the 500 free, the 200 IM, the 50 free, the 200 yard free relay, and one-meter diving.
