CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson men’s tennis team defeated Georgia State 5-2 and UNC-Greensboro 7-0 in intercollegiate men’s tennis action at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center, at Clemson, SC late Thursday night.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 12-2 on the year. Nathan Thompson won both matches at number one singles as he defeated Jaime Rodriquez of Georgia State 6-1, 6-2. He later defeated Greg Levy of UNC-Greensboro 6-1, 6-2 Thompson and Ryan Young were both victorious at number one doubles. The duo defeated Clarence Boyd and Anze Cevka of Georgia State 9-7. They also defeated Chris Magnone and Marc Ladouceur of UNC-Greensboro 8-5.
Clemson will play another men’s tennis double header on Sunday. Clemson will play Cal-Irvine at 9:00 a.m and Texas A&M-Corps Christi at 3:00 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on the Clemson, SC.
