Clemson Sixth after Two Rounds of Woodland All-America Tournament

CLEMSON, SC – Crawford Reeves had rounds of 71-70 to lead Clemson to a sixth place standing after 36 holes of the Woodland All-American Invitational. Fifteen teams, nine from the state of Texas, played 36 holes on the par 72 course in Houston. Clemson is in sixth place with a 575 score, but is just four shots out of fourth place. Arkansas, ranked 10th in the nation, leads the field with a 556 team score.

Clemson is playing the tournament without number-one player Corbin Mills, who is in the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, SC this week. Mills will be back in the Clemson lineup for the ACC Tournament, April 20-22.

Reeves stands in 10th place after two rounds in the individual race with his 141 score. In the first round he had a triple on the 11th hole, but came back with an eagle on the 15th. He shot 34 on the inward nine to lead the Tigers. In the second round he had a two under par 70 thanks to four birdies and two bogeys. Reeves now has shot par or better in 10 of his last 11 rounds.

Thomas Bradshaw also had a 70 in the second round. The sophomore had a wild ride in the second round. At one point he went seven straight holes without a par. He had birdies on the 11th, 12th and 13th holes, a double bogey on the 14th followed by an eagle at 15. He then made bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes before finishing with a birdie at the first hole.Bradshaw has a 143 total after two rounds and stands in a tie for 20th place.

Freshman Billy Kennerly is in a tie for 33rd place with a 145 score after two rounds (73-72). He had four birdies in his second round. McCuen Elmore is a shot back of Kennerly at 146 after a pair of 73s. He had four birdies and an eagle in the second round. Freshman Hayden Garrett had rounds of 77 and 74 on Monday and is in 64th place.
