Clemson Rowing Announces Seven Signees for 2007-08

Clemson, SC – The Tiger rowing program announced the signing of seven student-athletes for the 2007-08 season on Monday. Clemson rowing recently completed its ninth season as a varsity sport.

Elizabeth Robb signed with the Tigers out of St. Francis High School in Roswell, GA. She brings impressive credentials to the program. Robb won gold medals at the Head of the Schuylkill and Head of the Hooch in 2004, and at the 2005 Southeast Junior Championships and 2006 Georgia Tech Erg Sprints. She also helped the youth 4+ to a silver medal at the 2005 U.S. Rowing Championships. Robb also participated in the U.S. Rowing Junior National Development Camp during her high school career.

Kelsey Hudome competed in club rowing in Malvern, PA. She rowed in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta the past four years. She led the junior varsity 4 to a gold medal in 2005 at the event. She also led a junior varsity 4 to a first-place finish at the 2005 SRA Nationals. She rowed in the Canadian Henley and U.S. Rowing Nationals in the summer of 2005 and 2006. Hudome graduated from the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in 2007.

Satoya Murray comes to Clemson from Marlboro County High School in Clio, SC. She earned varsity letters in basketball, soccer, softball, and track. A Wendy’s Heisman winner for the state of South Carolina, she was Player of the Year in soccer while leading her team to a region title as a senior. She also led her basketball team to a region title. She ranks in the top five in South Carolina high school history in career goals for soccer.

Sarah Delap was a decorated soccer player at Riverside High School in Greer, SC. She was All-State her final three years at the AAA level. She was named the South Carolina Keeper of the Year at the AAA level for the past three years as well. Delap was named the 2006 Soccer Player of the Year by the High School Sports Report and the South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports. She led Riverside to state titles in soccer in 2004 and 2006.

Jacqueline Moore comes to Clemson from North Catholic High School in Wexford, PA. She participated in lacrosse as a freshman and sophomore before finishing her athletic career at North Catholic with the crew team as a junior and senior.

Leah Kelly graduated from The O’Neal School in 2007 in Southern Pines, NC. She earned four letters in volleyball and one each in basketball and soccer. Sarah Daanen earned three letters in crew from Lake City High School in Hayden, ID.
