Clemson Rowing And Seneca Celebrities Participate In Water Festival

SENECA, SC – The Clemson rowing team opened their fall schedule as they participated in the Seneca Water Festival held Saturday at South Cove Park.

Two of the Tigers’ varsity 8+ teams competed against each other in an exhibition race before taking part in the celebrity row. Seneca mayor Dan Alexander, Seneca City Administrator Greg Dietterick, S.C. State Representative Bill Sandifer, City Council representative Vickie Allen, Daily Journal publisher Bill Chiusano, Oconee County attorney Brad Norton and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mario Suarez, joined members of the Tiger rowing team in the 8+ celebrity challenge. Clemson travels to the Head of the Ohio in Pittsburgh, PA, on October 7, to open their 2000-2001 collegiate schedule.
