Clemson, SC – Clemson is ranked third in the nation for the third straight poll according to the latest Precept Collegiate Coaches Poll. The poll is done every two weeks and the Tigers have now been ranked third for four of the last five polls dating to Feb. 21. It marks the seventh time in the eight rankings that Clemson has been fifth or better. Larry Penley’s Tigers were ranked ninth in the preseason poll.
Clemson has now been ranked in the top five in the nation in all but three of the coach’s polls dating to March 12, 1997. Clemson has been ranked number-one in 13 of the polls during that time period.
Clemson is second in the nation in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. Clemson has been #2 in every one of the weekly Sagarin rankings this spring.
