Clemson Ranked Fourteenth in Final USRowing/CRCA NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll

Clemson, SC – The Clemson rowing team is ranked fourteenth in the final USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll. The Tigers Varsity 8+ had one of the most successful seasons on record, competing in the NCAA Rowing Championships for the first time in school history. This marks the highest final ranking in program history.

“It is an exciting time to row at Clemson University. To finish 14th in the nation certainly says something about the program and the direction it is heading,” said Head Coach Richard Ruggieri. “We are pleased with the way we finished yet hungry to get faster. Last year was a great memory now it is time to prepare, train and compete for the 2008-2009 season.”
