The junior from Grovetown, GA, has competed in the high hurdles and as a member of the Tigers’ 1600m relay team each of the last three years. Gardner’s specialty is the hurdles as he will take to the track in the 110m and 400m hurdles, but he will also compete as a member of the 4x400m relay team. This is the second time the junior from Chesapeake, VA, will compete in the intermediate hurdles at the region level. Kitchens, who is making his third consecutive appearance in the long jump, has also qualified in the 100m and as a member of the 4x100m relay team. The senior from Hephzibah, GA, won the long jump in 2003 and was the runner-up in 2004. This will be the first year he competes in the running events at the region meet.

Michael Bolling is another two-event qualifiers for the Tigers. Bolling, a senior from Willingboro, NJ, will compete in the 400m hurdles at the East Region meet for the third consecutive year, and will also run on the Tigers’ 4x400m relay team.

A junior from Charleston, WV, he narrowly missed an at-large invitation in the 400m hurdles to the NCAA Championships last year. Sophomore Jason Bell will make his second appearance at the East Region Championships in the triple jump. The native of Warner Robbins, GA, finished 10th in the event at the 2004 region meet.
