Clemson Men’s Tennis Will Play Host to Florida State Friday Afternoon

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s tennis team will play host to Florida State Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center in the ACC opener for the Tigers.

Clemson will enter the match with a 10-2 record overall, while Florida State brings a 5-5 record into the match. The Tigers are ranked 51st, while the Seminoles are ranked 36th. Florida State is 0-1 in league play having lost to Miami last week.

Clemson is led by freshman Dominique Maden with a 11-5 record overall. His brother Yannick Maden is 4-1 in singles play this season and played at number one singles. The Tigers’ Gerardo Meza is 8-2 in singles and dual matches this year.

This will be the 34th meeting between the two schools on the tennis courts. Clemson leads the overall series 17-16. The Tigers also are 7-6 against the Seminoles when playing at Clemson. The series began in 1962.
