CLEMSON, SC – The #19 Clemson men’s soccer team will play at Syracuse Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in Atlantic Coast Conference action. Clemson has a 10-4-2 record overall and a 5-2-2 mark in the ACC. The 10 wins are the most for the Tigers since the 2006 season. The five ACC wins are the most for the program since 1998. Going into this weekend’s action, Clemson is in fourth place in the ACC standings with two more conference tilts remaining (Syracuse, 11/1 and Duke (11/8). Clemson has 17 points and is one point shy of being tied with Notre Dame and Maryland for second place. Wake Forest is in first place in the ACC standings with 19 points.Thomas McNamara leads Clemson in scoring with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points. Teammate Ara Amirkhanian has six goals and two assists for 14 points. Clemson goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell has started 10 contests for the Tigers, including the last two. He has 24 saves and a 1.05 goals-against average. Emil Ekblom leads Syracuse in scoring with nine goals and three assists for 21 points. Alex Halis has five goals and one assist for 11 points. Syracuse has a 9-6-1 record overall and a 2-6-1 mark in league play. This will be first meeting ever between Clemson and Syracuse in men’s soccer. The match will be played at the SU Soccer Stadium.
