Clemson Men Set for Exhibition on Halloween Night

Oct. 30, 2006

The Clemson men’s basketball team will play host to an exhibition game Tuesday night at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers, coming off a 19-13 overall record in 2005-06, will take on Lithuania Academy at 7:30 PM. The game will be broadcast locally on WCCP-FM (104.9), with Dan Scott calling the play-by-play action. The regular season gets underway November 10-12 at the Cox Communications Classic in Norfolk, VA.

Free admission will be offered to Tiger fans of all ages that wear a costume in conjunction with Halloween for Tuesday’s game. Prizes will be awarded to fans wearing the most original costume, best costume use of orange, best student costume, best costume for those over 30 years old, and best costume for those over 60 years old. Priority parking will not begin until the November 15 regular season home opener with Furman.

The Tigers return nine letterwinners and four starters off of last year’s squad that advanced to the second round of the postseason NIT. Clemson, under the direction of fourth-year Head Coach Oliver Purnell, will play just one public exhibition game before the regular season starts next weekend.

Clemson’s foe Tuesday will be Lithuania Academy, who lost at Southern Mississippi over the weekend.
