Clemson Lady Tiger Basketball To Face Furman On Wednesday

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson women’s basketball team will face Furman Wednesday night (December 6) at Clemson’s Littlejohn Coliseum at 7:00 p.m.

Clemson is 3-2 overall this season. This will be the first of four straight home games for the Lady Tigers. Clemson is coming off a 56-43 win over South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Erin Batth and Nuria Forns led the way as both players scored 15 points each.

Erin Batth leads Clemson in scoring with a 15.4 ppg. average. She also leads the team in rebounding with a 8.6 rpg. mark. Chrissy Floyd is second in scoring with a 14.4 ppg. mark. Krystal Scott leads the team in assists with 17 this season.

Head Coach Jim Davis is in his 14th year as the Head Coach of the Lady Tigers. During this time, Clemson has won two ACC Championships (1996 and 1999) and have been to the NCAA Tournament 12 times.

Furman has a 3-2 record overall this season. Furman is led in scoring by Tara Charles with a 15.2 ppg. average. The Paladins are coming off a 58-55 win over UNC-Charlotte on December 2.

Clemson leads the all-time series between the two schools 13-0. The series started in the 1975-76 season. Last season, Clemson defeated Furman 57-52 in Greenville, SC on December 1, 1999. Datishella Byrd had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead the Lady Tigers.
