Clemson in Fourth Place after Two Rounds at Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – Sophomore McCuen Elmore fired rounds of 71-69 to lead Clemson to a 571 team score and a fourth-place standing after two rounds of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational at Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, SC. Clemson is in fourth-place in the 18-team tournament that will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.

Chattanooga is in first place with a 562 team score, nine shots better than the Tigers. Liberty is second at 566, followed by Furman at 569.

Elmore, playing in his first career tournament for the Tigers, led the way with an even par score of 140 for his 36 holes on Monday. He is in seventh place individually on the par 70 course.

Luke Hopkins had rounds of 72-69 and is in 11th place overall with a 141 score. Ben Martin ha Clemson’s best round in the first round with a 70, then had a 74 in the second round of the day. He is at 144 and in 20th place. Jacob Burger stands in 32nd place with a 147 total after rounds of 76-71. Corbin Mills had rounds of 75 and 78 and his 153 team score is 59th.
