Clemson Football Gameday Designations Announced

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Athletic Department has announced special gameday designations for the 2011 football season. The Tigers play seven of their 12 games at home with the season opener September 3 against Troy.

The Troy game will be Hall of Fame Day, while the Wofford game, played on September 10, will be Military Appreciation Day and Youth Day. Defending National Champion Auburn comes to Clemson on September 17 for Solid Orange Day. It will be the first time since 1981 that the defending national champion has played at Clemson Memorial Stadium. The Florida State game on September 24 has been designated as IPTAY Day and Family weekend.

Boston College will be the opponent on homecoming on October 8. It will be the first time Boston College has been the opponent on homecoming since 1949. Clemson will celebrated the 30-year anniversary of its National Championship on October 22 when North Carolina comes to town for their only appearance in Clemson until 2016, and the Wake Forest game on Nov. 12 will be Senior Day.

Season tickets will be $309, the same price as last year. Individual single game ticket prices have also been announced. The Troy and Wofford tickets will be $35 apiece, the Wake Forest, North Carolina and Boston College tickets will be $48 apiece, the Florida State tickets will be $55 apiece and the Auburn tickets will be $65 apiece.
