CLEMSON, SC – Crawford Reeves fired a three-round total of 212 to lead Clemson to a sixth place finish at the 18-team Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational at the par 70 Palmetto Country Club in Aiken, SC on Tuesday. Reeves had rounds of 69-69-74 for the 54-hole event, good enough for fifth place in the individual race, the second best finish of his career.
Clemson’s top player on Tuesday was Jacob Burger, who had a one over par 71, giving him a 214 total for the three rounds, good enough for 11th place.
McCuen Elmore was Clemson’s third best player with a 221 score after rounds of 71-76-74. He finished fifth at this event last year when he helped Clemson to a second place finish. He finished 30th this year. Corbin Mills, Clemson’s number-one player entering the tournament, had a 225 score for the tournament and finished 46th.
Thomas Bradshaw finished with a 227 score for the three rounds in his first career event, but his score counted towards the Clemson team score two of the three rounds. His best round was an opening round 72 when he had a Clemson team best six birdies. He finished 58th individually.
Alabama won the tournament with a 849 team score, nine over par. Bud Cauley was the medalist from Alabama with a tournament record 201 score.
