Kansas City, Mo. – The Clemson men’s soccer team was honored by the United Soccer Coaches as a recipient of the organization’s Team Academic Award, as announced on Thursday. The award is bestowed upon teams with exemplary academic success during the prior academic year, with teams needing to attain a 3.00 grade point average to receive the distinction.
Clemson was one of 255 schools across all NCAA divisions to receive the honor for both their men’s and women’s teams. For the men, this was the first time since 2017 that they had been named to the award’s list. This is the eighth time since 2002 that the team has been named as a recipient of the honor. Clemson was one of seven ACC programs to be named to the list by the organization.
