Clemson Basketball Teams to Hold “Tip-Off for Success” Monday

Clemson, SC – The Clemson men’s and women’s basketball programs will hold a two-hour event called “Tip-Off for Success” on Monday, November 6 at Littlejohn Coliseum. Students from local schools will be involved with the teams in many activities and contests and will learn how basketball can be valuable to everyday life.

The event is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday morning at Littlejohn Coliseum. The two teams will be announced to the students, and coaches Oliver Purnell and Cristy McKinney will each spend time setting up the day’s activities. Included on the schedule for Monday will be shooting contests, dribbling relays, and short scrimmages for both the men’s and women’s teams. There will also be guest speakers talking about the importance of academics, physical fitness, work ethic, and what it means to “be a Tiger.”

The activities will conclude at 12:00 PM following closing statements from those involved.
