CLEMSON, S.C. – Shane Calvert has been added to the Clemson Men’s Soccer staff as a volunteer assistant coach and performance analyst. Calvert is from Clinton, SC and graduated from Clinton High School. He graduated from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN with a B.S. in Sports Management and Marketing. During his time at Tusculum, he served as a member of the Tusculum College Men’s Soccer program as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach. Calvert’s coaching career started at King College in Bristol, TN. While coaching at King College, Calvert also coached club at the Diadora Impact Club in Kingsport, TN, leading his team to the U14 State Championship. As a high school coach at Morristown West (TN), Dobyns Bennett (TN) and Spartanburg High School (SC), Calvert ‘s teams won six Conference championships, four District championships, two Regional championships, and had two State Final Four appearances. As a player, Shane played collegiately at both Spartanburg Methodist and North Greenville College. Calvert holds a NSCAA Advance National Diploma and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.
