Bi-Lo Rewards Clemson Fans with Shopping Spree

CLEMSON, SC – Two Tiger basketball fans, Kris Mason and Daniel Smith, were rewarded at the Clemson Bi-Lo on Thursday, March 26 with each person receiving a three-minute shopping spree. Mason and Smith were chosen as the Bi-Lo Solid Orange Fan of the Year winners at the conclusion of the Clemson basketball season.

Mason, the winner from the women’s basketball season, filled up two carts and walked away with $297.22 worth of groceries.

Smith, a Clemson student that was highly recognizable at men’s basketball games due to the gorilla costume he wore, carted a total of $156.00 during his spree.

Both contestants were chosen as Bi-Lo Solid Orange Fan of the Game winners at individual games during the Clemson men’s and women’s basketball seasons. A grand prize drawing was held during the final game of each season to determine the Bi-Lo Solid Orange Fan of the Year.

“This was a great experience! I would like to thank Bi-Lo and Clemson for this exciting opportunity!” exclaimed Mason joyfully after completing his shopping spree.
