GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference selects Grace Barnett as its Women’s Track Co-Performer of the Week after her two standout performances at the Rod McCravy Memorial. The redshirt sophomore is the third Clemson track and field student-athlete to earn an ACC accolade this season.
On day one, Barnett teamed up with Ersula Farrow, Olivia James and Tanisha Coppin for the third fastest distance medley relay time in the country. Their combined time of 11:20.75 was good enough to win the race and it is the second fastest time in the ACC.
The next day, she won the mile with a personal best time of 4:41.33. Her time is the fifth fastest in the country, the best time in the ACC. The effort also betters her position in Clemson’s all-time list as the time places her third in program history.
This weekend, fans will have a chance to watch Barnett and the Tigers compete one last time in Clemson this season. On January 29 and 30, the Tigers will host the Bob Pollock Meet in the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Facility.
