Laxgang helped the Clemson women’s soccer team to a 1-1 draw against #3 Florida State on Sunday at Historic Riggs Field. Laxgang scored a beautiful goal to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute when her teammate, freshman defender Claire Wagner sent a long, leading pass from the back line. With a Seminole defender at her side, Laxgang took one touch with her right foot, and sent the ball into the upper right corner of the net, out of the reach of the Florida State keeper. The senior midfielder played the entire 110 minutes of Clemson’s 1-1 draw against the Seminoles, and also played all 90 minutes of the Tigers’ 1-0 victory over Syracuse on the road last Thursday.
