Rivers helped lead the Tiger men’s basketball team to wins over Liberty and South Carolina State last week. Against Liberty, the senior matched his career high with 32 points and led the Tiger comeback effort, scoring the team’s first 14 points of the second half and nine inside the final four minutes of the game. He also added 11 rebounds against the Flames in his best all-around effort of the season.
Against South Carolina State, Rivers posted 19 points on a seven-for-12 performance from the field (three-for-six from three-point range), and also grabbed six rebounds in the contest. He now ranks 12th in Clemson history with 1,373 career points and needs just 11 rebounds to become the 20th player in school history with 600 in a career.
