Mays has helped the Clemson men’s basketball team to a 3-0 start for the 2007-08 season, averaging 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in the Tigers’ first three games. He leads the team in both statistical categories. The senior from Garner, NC has posted a double-double in each of Clemson’s last two games.
Mays recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Tigers’ 84-82 victory on the road at Mississippi State last Thursday and posted 17 points and 10 rebounds in the team’s 66-53 win over Old Dominion at home on Sunday. Mays also had seven assists and four steals in the two contests combined.
