Derek DiFazio, Men’s Tennis, Junior, Smithtown, NY

DiFazio won at the number-one singles position in two matches over the weekend, helping the Tiger men’s tennis team open the 2010 season with victories over Gardner-Webb and Davidson. DiFazio defeated Evgeny Slesarez of Gardner-Webb by a score of 7-5, 6-4 in the first match of the day, and followed that with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Davidson’s Eric Noble.
