Against #10 Butler on Sunday, November 29, Stitt made a pair of free throws with 3.3 seconds left in the game to put the Tigers ahead by one. It marked the second time in Stitt’s career he made two free throws inside the final five seconds to give Clemson a one-point victory. He previously made two free throws on March 9, 2008 to give Clemson a 70-69 win over Virginia Tech. Ironically, his free throws Sunday also gave the Tigers a victory by the exact same score (70-69).
Stitt followed an outstanding 16-point effort against Long Beach State on Friday, November 27 with a season-high 19 points against Butler. He hit 7-15 shots, including a season-best three from long range.
