Ågren Earns College Soccer News First-Team All American Tag

CLEMSON, S.C. — Senior defender and MAC Hermann Trophy finalist Oskar Ågren was placed on the College Soccer News All-American First Team. He was previously named a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American as well as member of the Top Drawer Soccer First-Team Best XI.

Ågren has been building up quite the trophy room in the lead-up to and weeks following Clemson’s National Championship. His steady and stellar performance as the center of the Tigers’ back line is getting much deserved recognition, as he led Clemson to 10 total shutouts and a 0.802 goals against average, good for 15th-best in the nation.

The Swedish national also added five goals and two assists over the course of the year, not to mention two successful penalties in the shootouts against Oregon State and Notre Dame. He will look to add the MAC Hermann Trophy to his collection on January 7 when the winner is announced at the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Banquet.
