ACC Announces 12 Days of ACC Football to Preview 2008 Season

GREENSBORO, NC – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that the ACC’s official website, theACC.com, will feature a special pre-season football preview of the Conference’s schools entitled “The 12 Days of ACC Football 2008: The Road to Tampa Bay.”

The series, a virtual preview tour of the league’s 12 football programs, begins today, August 4, with a look at NC State and will continue for 12 consecutive days concluding on Friday, August 15 with the ACC’s defending champion Virginia Tech.

The teams will be revealed in the reverse order of their predicted finish (sixth to first, alternating Atlantic and Coastal Divisions) by the media at the recently-concluded ACC Football Kickoff.

The previews will feature schedules, a review of the 2007 season, coaches biographies and a forecast of the upcoming season written by Raycom Sports’ Mike Hogewood. Also featured on the page is a video preview and links to each school’s roster, 2007 statistics and football homepage.

The 2008 ACC Football Championship Game will be played in Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium with a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Dec. 6. Championship Game information is available on the ACC website, theACC.com.
