I find it hard to believe I am acknowledging the end of our golf season in mid-March. As we all navigate through the COVID-19 crisis, I’d like to take a moment to thank all the folks who help our golf team be successful. First of all, to our support staff, thank you for all you do to help our team be successful in the classroom, the weight room, and on the course. While the golf season is over, we still need to finish the semester strong and will do so with your help.
The membership and staff at The Reserve at Lake Keowee put in a great deal of volunteer hours to help us host one of the top events in women’s college golf. We were so close to the event, March 27-29, and the work had already been done. Thank you for your continued support. The 2021 Clemson Invitational will be the best ever!
To our players and coaching staff, I’m sad this season is over. I’m proud of my girls and of the work we did this year, even if the results didn’t always show it. Each event this spring felt like we were building toward playing our best late in the spring. Therefore, I am left with a crazy desire to encourage us all to take advantage of each day, each practice session, and every day of competition because we never know when it may be our last! Here’s to a great 2020-21 season.
