Founded in 1889 as Clemson Agricultural College, the university began as an all-male military school nestled on 1,400 acres on the shores of Lake Hartwell. With over 80-plus majors and 120-plus graduate degree programs, Clemson offers an array of academic opportunities for its 23,401 undergraduate students.

More than 500 student-athletes compete on 21 NCAA Division I teams for Clemson University under the leadership of Director of Athletics Graham Neff. The Tigers compete in the highly competitive Atlantic Coast Conference.

Clemson announced the addition of women's golf as a varsity sport in 2011 and played it's first season of competition in 2013-14. The Tigers won their first ACC Championship in 2023 and then in 2024 advanced to NCAA Match Play. Clemson has had 3 All-Americans in school history and Savannah Grewal was the first Clemson graduate to earn her LPGA Tour Card in 2024.
Clemson Golf boasts some of the best facilities in college golf. From the Larry B. Penley, Jr., clubhouse to the Steve and Margaret Bond Practice Facility, as well as access to some of the best local courses, there's everything student-athletes need to tops in their sport.
Clemson has access to many of the best golf courses in the Upstate of South Carolina, including hosting a tournament on the on-campus Walker Course and one at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
Clemson is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, one of the premiere conferences for women's golf in the country.
