#23 Clemson Plays #24 Auburn Sunday Afternoon

CLEMSON, SC – The 23^rd-ranked Clemson men’s tennis team will play host to 24^th-ranked Auburn Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on the Tigers’ campus.

Both teams are 9-1 this season. Clemson is coming off a 4-0 win over UNC Wilmington last Saturday afternoon. Clemson is off to its best start of the season since the 2010 team won its first 15 matches of the season.
 Auburn defeated Georgia Tech Friday evening 4-3 in Atlanta.

Clemson’s Hunter Harrington is ranked 67^th in the latest ITA poll. Harrington has a 12-5 record overall and 5-2 in dual matches.
 Auburn’s Dante Saleh is ranked 85^th and Daniel Cochrane is ranked 112^th in the latest ITA poll.

This will be the eighth meeting between Clemson and Auburn on the tennis courts. Auburn leads the overall series 4-3. The two teams first met on March 31, 1941, as Auburn took a 4-2 victory. Last season, the Tigers defeated Auburn 5-2 on April 22.
