North Carolina Head Coach Brian Kalbas: “Obviously we are excited to move on. Georgia State is a talented team but I thought we handled things well today. We are looking forward to the challenge tomorrow.”
North Carolina player Sanaz Marand: “It feels great to win. This has been one of the few that I’ve clinched and to clinch at the NCAAs feels great!”
Georgia State Head Coach Miha Lisac: “We have to extend our congratulations to the North Carolina team today because I thought they played well. They didn’t give us much leeway to come back into the match or maybe take one or two points from them. They played very solid all the way through and closed out the match, but I think we showcased the same fighting spirit we showed all season.”
