1982 Orange Bowl National Championship Game Available For Purchase

Jan. 20, 2003 Classics (, the online store for the Official College Sports Network (OCSN), has announced the availability of one of college football’s greatest games, the classic 1982 Orange Bowl — Clemson’s 22-15 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Considered by many as Clemson’s greatest moment in sports history, the 48th Annual Orange Bowl Classic will always be remembered as the venue where the Tigers celebrated its first-ever national championship. The Tigers ( fought off the tradition rich Big 8 Champion Nebraska Cornhuskers with its opportunistic defense and multiple threat offense. Clemson’s defense, led by All-American safety Terry Kinard and freshman lineman William Perry, neutralized the high-powered Cornhusker offense of running backs Roger Craig and Mike Rozier to only 15 points. The Tigers scored 19 unanswered points including a fourth quarter Homer Jordan to Perry Tuttle touchdown pass, and Donald Igwebuike’s third field goal of the game to earn the 22-15 victory and put up its third undefeated season in school history.
