#19 North Carolina Defeats Clemson

CHAPEL HILL, NC – The 19th-ranked North Carolina men’s tennis team defeated Clemson 5-2 in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match at Chapel Hill, NC Friday.

With the win, the Heels move to 14-4 overall, and 5-2 in the ACC. The Tigers drop to 17-6 overall, and 3-5 in league play. Clemson is ranked 40th nationally.

The Tigers won matches at number five and six singles. At number five singles, Wes Moran defeated North Carolina¹s Andrew Crone 6-2, 6-3. At the number six contest, Clemson¹s Moritz Dettinger defeated Zach Hunter 7-5, 6-4.

Clemson will play at Duke on Sunday, April 11, at 12:00 p.m. in the Tigers¹ next action.
