Women’s Track And Field Team Set To Compete At NCAA Indoor Championships

The Clemson women’s track and field team will compete at the 2005 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Mar. 11-12 in Fayetteville, AR. Silja Ulfarsdottir will begin competition for the Lady Tigers on Friday, representing Clemson in the preliminaries of the 400m. On Saturday, Gisele Oliveira will compete in the triple jump, and the Lady Tigers’ 4x400m relay team will take to the track also on Saturday.

Ulfarsdottir enters the NCAA Championships ranked 16th in the 400m with her season-best time of 53.51. The Lady Tigers’ 4x400m relay team of Ulfarsdottir, Jessica Cousins, Randi Hinton have the ninth-fastest time entering the meet (3:34.76). Oliveira is ranked third in the nation with her mark of 13.57m/44’6.25″.
