CLEMSON, SC – Clemson women’s tennis head coach Nancy Harris has announced that Laurianne Henry, a local talent from Anderson, SC, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her tennis career at Clemson next year.

“I am truly delighted Laurianne has chosen to join the Tigers, as she is one of the finest recruits in the country,” Harris said. “I am certain she is going to make a significant contribution to our continued success and I am honored to have the opportunity to coach such an outstanding young woman. We are very fortunate to have Laurianne join our program.”

Henry is considered a Blue Chip recruit by TennisRecruiting.net, the highest level given. She is currently ranked fourth in South Carolina, fourth in the Southern Region and 46th in the nation. Henry is also listed at #21 in the country for the graduating senior class.

She has won numerous tournaments in her junior career, including the 2005 K-Swiss Championships, the 2005 Spring Southern Closed Championships, the 2005 Girls 18 National Open and the Girls 18 Southern Bullfrog. In 2006, she has claimed the Pepsi Junior Championship title and has placed second in her last three tournaments.
