Women’s Tennis Defeats College of Charleston

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team defeated the College of Charleston, 5-1, Saturday afternoon in Clemson to open the spring season.

At number one singles, Clemson senior Cecilia Hincapie defeated Liorah Levin, 6-3, 6-3. At two singles, sophomore Cinny Clausen was defeated by Charleston’s Rita Hollins, 6-3, 6-2. Clemson won at three singles with junior Catherine Galvin beating Brook Raynal, 6-1, 6-0. Clemson sophomore Christina Oldock was victorious over Charleston’s Sabah Sattar, 6-0, 6-4 at number four singles. Clemson seniors Meredith Chandler and Kate-Maree Mair, beat Christy Kauffman 6-0, 6-1, and Ashley Hawkins 6-1, 6-3 at number five and six singles, respectively.

The Tigers (1-0) will travel to South Alabama Sunday, February 7, for a 10:00 a.m. match.
