Women’s Soccer Defeats SMU, 4-1

DALLAS, Tex. – The Clemson women’s soccer team remained undefeated with a 4-1 win over Southern Methodist at Dallas, TX late Sunday night.

Four different players scored for Clemson as Beth Keller, Lea Shreve, Nancy Augustyniak and Alison Burpee all were in the scoring column for the Lady Tigers. Deliah Arrington had two assists for Clemson while Heather Beem assisted on another Clemson tally.

Clemson is now 4-0 on the year, while SMU drops to 2-2 this season. Clemson is ranked 10th nationally by Soccer America and 12th by the NSCAA.

The game was delayed one hour and 50 minutes due to lightning.

The Lady Tigers will play host to the Clemson/Nike Classic this weekend on September 10 and 12. Clemson, Furman, Princeton and Richmond will participate in this tournament.
