Women’s Hoops Battles Maryland

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team will play Maryland on Sunday, February 6, at 7:30 p.m. in College Park, MD.

Clemson has a 14-7 record overall, and a 5-4 mark in the ACC. Clemson has won three games in a row. Maryland has a 13-8 record overall and a 4-6 mark in league play.

Clemson is led in scoring by Chrissy Floyd with a 12. 7 ppg. average. Erin Batth leads the Lady Tigers in rebounding with a 7.1 rpg. mark. Marche Strickland leads Maryland in scoring with a 13.7 ppg. average. Rosita Melbourne leads the Terrapins in rebounding with a 5.6 rpg. mark.

This will be the 45th meeting between Clemson and Maryland on the basketball court.

The Terrapins lead the overall series 25-19. Clemson has won five of the last six meetings between the two schools. Maryland defeated the Lady Tigers 74-58 at Clemson on January 6.

Earlier this season, Maryland defeated Clemson 74-58 at Clemson, SC on January 6.

Maryland’s Tiffany Brown scored a career high 29 points, while teammate Rosita Melbourne added a career-high 15 points in this game.
